Edward
Rose Enterprises is a conglomerate of privately held owners, developers,
builders and mortgagors of multi-family developments. The company
consistently ranks within the top 20 of the 50 largest multifamily
owners and managers in the nation. Established in 1921, Edward Rose
Enterprises has been a leader in the residential construction business
for over 80 years, developing both single family and multifamily
dwellings.
Edward Rose began the business as "Edward Rose & Sons."
Most of the development prior to 1965 was single family home construction.
Since then, however, the concentration has been primarily on apartments
and has yielded over 60,000 units. The company currently owns and
manages over 50,000 apartment units in 10 states, with a concentration
in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the nation. Edward Rose,
the Patriarch of the family-owned business, was recognized as a
leader in the industry and inducted into the National Association
of Home Builders Hall of Fame.
.
A community is made up of more than just buildings and streets.
Each community has a spirit, and the people who live and work there
help to mold the character of that spirit.
At Edward Rose, we take that responsibility seriously. We look for
opportunities to quietly give a little back, or to become more involved.
Whether that means collecting food donations measured in tonnage
for Gleaner's Food Bank during "National Make a Difference Day",
or dressing up as Santa's elves and standing out in the cold to
serve as drive-through toy donation sites for "Toys for Tots", community
service is an important part of the company's philosophy.
The Midwest and Mid-Atlantic divisions of the company have taken
this commitment a step further by dedicating a full-time position
to corporate and community outreach. Events are planned regularly
which support the needs and interests of the local communities to
which the Edward Rose properties belong. These events are designed
to work in cooperation with many nonprofit and charitable organizations
where 100% of the proceeds support the cause.
In some cases, however, donations are not always the focus. Pet
adoption drives in conjunction with the Humane Society or local
equivalent organizations have also been successful events at many
pet-friendly communities. "National Night Out" events, which encourage
members of the local police and fire departments to get to know
community members and help residents of our communities to meet
their neighbors, have also become very popular at some of the Edward
Rose properties.
The needs of the area communities are what drive the company's involvement.
Keeping abreast of those needs, and reacting to them is more than
a company philosophy; in the housing industry, it's simply part
of being a good neighbor.
